So i want to buy a Nvidia rtx 3090, could someone tell me if it matters which type you buy if you also want to mine altcoins with it? Or give some tips?

Note I am not selling anything!

This btc section not alt coins

I asked mods to move it to alt coins.

A 2 card 3090 rig designed for mining ETH earns about 22-25usd a day

it burns about 625 watts an hour or just about 16 k-watts a day.

If you have

5 cent power 80 cents in cost   profit  of 21-24 a day
10 cent power $1.60                  profit of  19-22 a day
15 cent power $2.40                  profit of  18-21 a day
20 cent power $3.20                  profit of  17-20 a day

I own a 2 card rig with 4 years and 6 months on the warranty

I am not selling it but that if I were to sell it and transfer the warranty to the next owner

I would expect serious coin 4k would not be enough.
Likely 5k

this is the card I own

https://www.ebay.com/itm/164876221737?

he wants 3400 or best offer for 1 so say he takes 3200 tax is 200 you pay 3400

 2 would be 6800

the mobo

the psu

the usb stick for os

the ram  come to 300 or so

you are pushing 7100 supposedly new may or may not have a warranty

If I were to sell mine with a warranty for 5k btc or etc or ltc payment only

you would save 2100

either deal is risky as a price collapse and you are burnt.

I got mine in jan so I earned back a lot already but I am not out of the woods yet.  I paid 4000 for the 2 cards and 300 for the build or 4300.

I am trying to give you a feel for cost. I am not selling my rig

also I do not know a thing about that ebay seller he had the best buy it now price.

Buy 2 ETH (i don´t know how much a RTX 3090 cost) for this 2 RTX 3090 makes more sense. The real roi if you calculate it right in ETH, because he will mine ETH, is around 400 - 500 days. Hashrate go up, ETH rewards go down (EIP1559), you must pay electricity and so on.

You must calculate with the coin you will mine, calculating in $ makes not so much sense.
