As a respect to those artist that made that "piece"/"part" of the art either for promotional purposes or not, you should not use that as exactly what it was for your art entry. You can make it as your referrence to get some idea, but do not copy it.

Plus, I think the more unique your art is, the more it has a chance to won some of the prizes.
