Fido Escrows update:
Fido Escrows is on schedule to be released during June 2021.
Fido Escrows uses 2-of-3 multisig addresses to keep traders safe. Members can signup as escrow mediators for Bitcoin trades and set their own terms, limits and fees. For successful trades, the buyer can release funds to the seller without involving the mediator. In case of a dispute, the mediator decides whether to refund the buyer or release funds to the seller, but has no direct access to the funds. Traders can rate and review mediators.
Bounties preview:
The first social media bounty (Reddit) will start July 2021. Payments will be in Bitcoin (on-chain or Lightning Network) with no minimum withdrawal. Translation bounties will start in August 2021.
Grupo Groups preview:
Grupo Groups is scheduled for release in Winter 2021.
With Grupo Groups, members can create their own public or private groups, which include a forum, chatroom and group listings.
Examples:
- A buy/sell group for musical instruments with Merkado Classifieds group listings
- A graphic design agency with Tasko Jobs group listings
- Community fundraisers for local schools with Kuno Fundraisers group listings
- A general group for your city, with local Bitcoin classifieds, jobs, fundraisers and exchanges
Federated Platform preview:
A federated open-source platform is under development and scheduled for release in 2022.
The federated platform allows sellers and communities to host their own customizable marketplaces for classifieds, jobs, fundraisers or exchanges. Marketplaces can decide which listing types and payment methods to support. Marketplaces can be open to all sellers or only allow selected seller(s). Marketplaces can be private or federated. Federated marketplace listings display in a global search and members can use one account across all federated marketplaces. Members can access marketplaces via a regular web browser, with no need to install additional software.
The platform will be easy to install/configure and extensible via themes and plugins (no technical skills required). It is based on PHP/MySQL/Apache and can be hosted on any VPS, Raspberry Pi or other server.
The Bitejo.com website will remain active and supported as a federated marketplace.
