I believe you can command respect by having some good values as honesty and integrity. Always speaking and standing by the truth, not having double standards can make you respected even when you do not have money
People will pay you respect if you're that type of person. Being honest and having integrity will make them look at you with all respect.
In our neighborhood, you don't have to have that much money to be respected. Because most of the people living in here are honest to each other.
