That is good news. At least, congratulations to people who win those lotteries, and maybe that can attract the attention of other people who do not vaccinate to follow their step to vaccinate. If that happens, then the number of vaccinated people will increase and get more protection from the vaccine. Maybe it will be better to give that money to all people who are already vaccinated because I think that money is really worth it for those who do not have an income.
In the United States, now they are having a surplus supply of vaccine, and therefore it makes sense to take out such measures. I heard that they have tens of millions of AstraZeneca vaccine doses in stock, despite the fact that they don't intend to use these doses to vaccinate the American population (as of now, only Pfizer, Moderna and J&J are approved for American residents). Anyway, this is good news for non-Americans as well. Since there is an oversupply of the vaccine, we can expect the Americans to export some of that surplus to those countries which are facing a shortage right now.
