@franky1 has a point but based on the above line, I think it's safe to say that this was just an automated process to get rid of "crypto-related accounts".

Therefore the people who are really involved can very easily come and join them, they will not only get all the gossip but at the same time all the information too. Therefore it might be more positive for them.
You're right but usually, those that use such websites or apps
[as a source of information] prefer to have everything shown to them in a single place, without having to search for that type of information on places like this or any other forum.
