I would suggest you stick with GPUs if you some sense of resale value.  Mining will end in 2021 with ETH moving to POS period.  I saw this with a heavy heart as I am a "long" time eth miner since 2017 and dont want eth mining to end but it will.  at least once eth does end mining, I can sell all my 5600xt cards for 400-500 easy to gamers.  CMP will be a boat anchor I suspect by that time.
