So in order to minimize the house edge, you should only place bets that meet the lifeline rules (so only small bets).

Seems like that. If someone win 3 bets with the help of life line then the house edge will be more lower. But that time luck is laso play a role. Lifeline is not mean you have 100% chance to win the bet.

And yeah I think it’s always happen that good players house edge is less than a normal/not good players imo. (I could be wrong though)
