Behind the existence of any currency, there will be strong support, such as national credit or precious metals.
Now threatening to invest in Bitcoin is anti-inflationary because of the openness of decentralization? Bitcoin, like gold, does not generate cash flow and has no equivalent conversion. How to measure its true value?

I really don't understand why big investment institutions invest in such assets?

Fiat currencies are used just because there is a trusted entity aka the government which has sort to say "vouched" for the currency. Bitcoin is "vouched" by people in the entire world who use it and secured by miners which verify transactions. Thus, the value of Bitcoin comes from its prospects to be an asset or even a worldwide accepted currency. Now with El Salvador adopting it as a legal tender I think we are closer than ever to witness a truly mass adoption. - The potential for appreciation is massive so logically institutions don't want to miss the opportunity.
