Even before all the whole FUD that Elon musk eventually created around Bitcoin especially, I wouldn't spend my Bitcoin on buying a Tesla or any other car, I would sell to Fiat for any form of transaction because of what you just mentioned. It would be easier not to think someday that you spent X amount of Bitcoin on buying something that would even depreciate in value almost immediately.
I guess Elon musk even further messed that up by himself anyways.

He messed up big time, I think we have all hear the memes of people wanting to buy a lambo with their bitcoin once they got rich enough, and even if lambos also lose value people were willing to do this because it was a sign that they have finally made it in this market, I thought that Musk was thinking on Teslas replacing lambos as a status symbol that people have finally made it in this market but after what he did this is never going to happen as he has gained a bad reputation in this market.
