I looked into Atomic Wallet, and found the following comment from their reddit account:
"Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Atomic Swaps were eliminated due to the lack of interest and imperfect technology."

AtomicDex, however, does live up to its name by using atomic swaps. There's a bit of extra work involved in supporting Cryptonote-derived coins, but the lead dev recently said they should be able to add XMR atomic swaps "quite soon". As soon as that happens, Zano shouldn't be far behind.
