I guess that you aren't using cryptocurrency exchanges and you aren't providing ID verification everywhere.
The idea of "being your own bank" is great,but only there weren't that much centralized crypto exchange platforms.I really want crypto trading to become truly decentralized,so you could trade the coins in your wallet without having to create accounts in centralized platforms and send your coins in their wallets.
I guess that KYC is the price we have to pay,in order to keep the governments neutral towards the crypto industry.If we don't abide by the KYC policies,the authorities will attack the crypto community for sure.
