I wonder what your definition of freedom is because to me, real freedom will mean "no transaction fee" and the possibility of holding your bitcoin yourself without "exchanges" which we all know is not the case.

If you think of it in a way, These exchanges still function like the traditional banks do, only that the government doesn't have a strong influence on them as they have to the banks.

So it is okay to say bitcoin has given a feeling of financial freedom from the government, but not total freedom.
