Elon stops buying Tesla cars using bitcoin. He cited the reason for the termination due to the increase in fossil fuels that increased due to bitcoin mining activities.
Elon's statement sent the price of bitcoin down about 5% in the first few minutes after the announcement.

Tesla was not fully banning bitcoin and it could be a horrible thing consider tesla is still holding a lot of bitcoin as well.
Elon Musk's reasoning is reasonable enough for us to start thinking about how to create clean energy that can be used to mine bitcoin, so far most bitcoin mining is done using conventional energy.
