Getting rich is a bonus, people buy Bitcoin for profits. The term rich has a specific meaning, not every Bitcoin buyer will be a rich man. I have bought Bitcoin many times since early 2018, but I am not a rich man. However, I am happy because I can make a little money and contribute to support the existence of Bitcoin as well. Regarding "freedom", it depends on personal perception. Even many people actually don't really care about "freedom" or not. They just buy Bitcoin to earn profits.
