DOGE is LTC fork. Nothing more as far as i'm concerned. Coin does not need to be on the market for 10 years to be safe in term of unknown weaknesses. But i do agree that doge has been attracting new community steadily over the last 10 years, and gained a relatively strong position despite starsting as a meme. Doge was here without Musk and will be here after musk will stop to tweet about it.
People used to call doge coin a meme coin. Nothing else. It has no real use case. People just used it for fun. It was used for "tipping" users in forums and other communities. It started as a meme coin and will always be a meme coin. No one cared about doge coin until Musk started talking about it. So if musk leaves, there is a high chance the price of doge coin will drop back to where it was before.
