Yes why not? As i well-known guys, they have been holding MATIC since 2019.So the price change is around 2.4$ from one coin. then you can just imagine what is the profit for holding MATIC for 2 years.
It is indeed profitable to hold matic for 2 years, but it is still far behind those who hold BTC for the last two years, which, however, if altcoin is matic, is still in a good category to be held by anyone.
Matic/Polygon is coming as an alternative for Ethereum or a 2nd layer over ethereum but it would have it's own challenges. People are looking for alternative to ethereum mostly because of the fees and speed. For Polygon to operate over Ethereum, it need to have a visible difference on fees and speed than that of Ethereum. And couple it with the huge supply, even the current price of Polygon seems to be high.
