I know you're frustrated but the real reason you lost money is because you were gullible, greedy, and lazy to read. I may not agree on what these influencers shill but I still appreciate the fact that they usually put disclaimers on their videos like "DYOR" or "NFA". You should have followed that too instead of buying blindly.
He I agree that he was careless , reluctant to read and swallowing the information just raw . Never want to judge or analyze first, even reading discussions in existing groups, incidentally can help him have more options and considerations. But he blames others for his own stupidity. Whatever it is, it must be considered and not ambitious.
