I'm just gonna throw this out there: https://medium.com/@AfnanHannan/why-my-trip-to-nigeria-convinced-me-that-cryptos-arent-the-future-anymore-they-re-the-present-193d0475b8da. It is always about the alternatives. In countries with highly unstable currency people always found alternatives - in socialist Europe it were dollars and now it's crypto because it is easy to use and hard to steal in environments with generally low security. Because Bitcoin is the biggest crypto, whenever people need a backup currency because the official one is not working, BTC is a great choice. It is getting accepted in developed countries too, we actually analyzed whether you could survive only with crypto. Too lazy to write it all here again, here is the link if anyone's interested: https://www.coinerro.com/blog/what-can-you-buy-with-bitcoin-now.
