The President of El Salvador shared a plan of Bitcoin mining powered by volcanic renewable energy currently under construction in the country. El Salvador is about to get a clean hash rate.El Salvador has 23 active volcanoes, and the thermal energy beneath the surface can generate powerful steam that can generate electricity. Despite being the smallest country in Central America, El Salvador is one of the largest producers of geothermal energy in the world. In fact, geothermal power stations account for a quarter of the country's total power generation. In the future, this tropical country may attract miners from all over the world to mine.

It's nice that El Salvador is planning to use geothermal energy as their source of power for mining. I really do hope they would be able to pull it off and execute it well. It will be a challenge for them for sure during the start, but later on they will manage. It's a great move that they opted to use renewable energy source for their electricity consumption because the aforementioned will decrease compared to using non-renewable energy that is first of all, costly and secondly, has a limited supply only. It will also be better for our planet's climate.

Hopefully, this step of El Salvador would also be followed by the countries that are planning to adopt bitcoin. It will be awesome to have numerous countries adopting bitcoin which use renewable energy sources to avoid damages to the climate as well as to minimize the cost and to prevent forced closing of mining sites. To add, it's much better to utilize what we have so I commend their government and the people behind the plan for being resourceful.
