The Merit system works fine. The fact that you didn't earn any Merit proves it

Although, there are some exceptions in the development board where some experts who don't hang out to bitcointalk very often, have similar amount of posts and merits.It's quite simple: if you use the forum as a forum instead of an ATM, you can stop creating useless posts so your Merit-to-post ratio will improve.
We should do that! Is there any BPIP page that shows a merit-to-post ratio? Not just the average merit you get on each post; it'd be too simple. I'd like to see something more complicated. A person having 1000 posts and 100 merits shouldn't be shitpostingly equal with 10 posts and 1 merit.
