I too have the same feeling about altcoins right now. When BTC was multiplying its price no altcoin actually went as high as it should have. Now as BTC falls 10%, other altcoins are falling 20% and this concludes me to believe that although some altcoins might be a better investment than BTC, most of the time the best possible growth will happen within BTC itself. I mean if BTC rises, altcoins will not rise as much then what's the point of holding altcoins? I rather go for BTC when it comes to holding and maybe trade some good altcoins.

That has been a trend since the moment BTC was first time listed at any exchange. The volatility is the fun of this market and people thinking that altcoins can hold their own during bear runs are crying now because if BTC falls, altcoins will 100% always fall as well.
