changing the 'must consume sats in whole units' sats rule.. to allowing slices of sats. is allowing more sharing and thus less scarcity
Why “thus less scarcity”? I don't get that. If I gave you 0.999999999999 ounces of gold, I wouldn't make 1 ounce less scarce just because I can cut it in smaller pieces.

if gold was previously only available to sell/trade/share in 1 ounces. as a fixed rule..
then the scarcity of all gold is (stats:192k tonnes)
6.77b units of gold in ounce denominations(smallest)

meaning only 6.77billion people can have a piece of gold
meaning not everyone on the planet can get a piece of gold to own

but then reducing that down to grams and allowing gold to be sold by the gram
189.6billion
meaning all 8 billion people can now hold ~23 units of gold
so its less scarce because everyone can have some. and yea everyone can have more then one unit

after all who cares about tonnes of gold. when everyone can have grams.
tonnes become a meaningless buzzword not one cares about. as they only see the grams and ounces

in bitcoin people will stop caring about btc and instead see bits and sats(100 and 1sat respectively)
