Some Investors just wanted to ride on the NFT hype and bubble thereafter when the NFT market becomes saturated saturated they  move on to another new hype this won't last for two years as you rightly said and investors are always after any bubble that will fetch them instant profits, I remembered vividly IEO hype few years back which trended for a while before it became thing of the past, some investors are always after rave of the moment thus utilizes whatever benefits they can gain from it.
