Each transaction is confirmed in a few minutes and the fee is not high.
OK, for coffee payments bitcoin may not be the best solution but how many people actually use bitcoin for something like that?
I believe that the vast majority of users use bitcoin as an investment and to send larger amounts of money, and for that purpose bitcoin is perfect.
