Same reason, BTC price is too high for newcomers too. Trust me, you don't want to buy after the biggest bull rally. Things are uncertain now, better wait for long term investment. Either wait for trend reversal sign or expect price to drop and buy more for cheaper price. ETH can't go up when BTC goes down, it's tied to BTC just like all other altcoins.
