Mexico’s third richest man, Ricardo Salinas, said in discussions with the directors of Blockchain Land that 10% of his assets are Bitcoin. He stated that all the advantages of Bitcoin make it eligible to be a modern form of gold, which is easy to carry and enjoys high liquidity internationally. Most importantly, the supply of Bitcoin is limited. In addition, he is not optimistic about altcoins and believes that altcoins do not have the potential to surpass Bitcoin

IMO, I believe he is one of the whales even we really don't know how much that 10 percent will be valued in BTC or in USD. But anyway my wondering question is why these wealthy people have suddenly become interested in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, usually, they want to invest in real-world businesses but now they have a change of heart I think they have discovered something about the future potential of the crypto industry that's why they are flooding into the crypto industry nowadays.
It might not be sudden like you think, it could be that they have been investing over time and didn't want to say that they invested in BItcoin. Do you really think these people do not see all the profits people have been making over time investing in Bitcoin? I strongly believe that they must have been investing too only making it public now that Bitcoin is further exploding in price.
