Good to hear that, as I really didn't like the thought of people in Salvador having to download the wallet created by government to get $30 worth of BTC. There are few more clarifications about the "airdrop", and one of the more interesting ones is that they will try to force people to pay stuff with bitcoin and not immediately transfer it USD.
The president also clarified that the $30 government BTC handout announced on June 25 would not be convertible into USD, emphasizing the administration’s intention to encourage the use of Bitcoin and the Chivo wallet.
