stated in its first-ever voluntary survey that it was able to collect sustainable energy data from over 32% of the current global Bitcoin network.

According to this survey, the worldwide mining industry’s sustainable power mix increased to over 56 percent in Q2 2021, making it one of the world’s most sustainable businesses.
Not sure if I should take it with a grain of salt since it was based on surveys and AFAICS, nobody has verified those stats
[am I right?] but is it safe to assume that freaking clown
[EM] is going to resume
BTCitcoin payments for Tesla
[it's above the 50% threshold]?
It's one of those things that people who can benefit from the market movement (one shall speak of no names

) will do to have media draw their own conclusion - often the wrong one.
This is exactly what's happening here, a survey whose members are already biased resulting in numbers that to some look somewhat optimistic but I think the problem of energy crisis and sustainability isn't even addressed in this survey properly.
We have a long way to go, and it will require a global effort to minimise energy wasting and become more efficient, more sustainable.
In short, the results that came out from this survey are not meaningful, carry a weight of bias and aren't representative.
