Re: Donate to Cøbra (pending court battle against Craig Wright)
OK, I felt sympathy for Cøbra to begin with. I understand that a message has to be displayed on bitcoin.org detailing the (absolute bull shit) court judgement which is fine, in the circumstances.
I am not happy about this though, as a UK resident when you go to install or upgrade Bitcoin Core Wallet you are met with this message -
Craig Wright & Calvin Ayre are now stopping people from running Bitcoin Core.
I’m sorry but this is unacceptable. This whole drama is because Cøbra wouldn’t defend himself in court.
I think it’s time that Cøbra passes ownership of the domain to somebody else. UK residents are now being restricted in their use of Bitcoin Core, it’s unacceptable. Cøbra hand over the website domain please, this is unacceptable.

The court order doesn't say anything about restricting the notice to UK residents. The order is enforceable internationally because of well-established treaties like the Berne Convention.
In addition...
If the 'default legal strategy' is continued with default judgements allowed to pile up, it will 100% result in Craig Wright gaining control of bitcoin.org. At which time the BSV reference client would become the default Bitcoin client.
Probably the only way to 'save' bitcoin at this point is to turn the domain over to Blockstream where it will be rigorously defended.

I personally support on-chain scaling. But I strongly disagree with Wright on his advocacy for freezing UTXOs and reversing transactions.
