The mayor of Miami advocates paying salaries in Bitcoin, paying taxes in crypto, making Miami a clean Bitcoin mining hub and adding Bitcoin to the city coffers.

This is a nice idea and will hopefully adopted by many other cities in the future too. For the city of Miami there is not much risk involved, as long as the salaries are quoted in USD and bitcoins. If the fixed salary would be stated in BTC then Miami would have all the risks. Because if BTC rise a lot then the salary would be so much more valuable, but the taxes that Miami collect are all USD.
