"Ledger live" is what they call the official app (GUI) you have to install on your PC or phone so you can interact with your ledger device (manage accounts, sign messages, voting ...)
I think it only means that if you need to manage these cryptos you will have to use some 3rd party app ... (like myetherwallet).
