They clearly said the CB is rolling up a pilot program, it has zero to do with bitcoin.
Just because they say crypto it doesn't mean automatically mean bitcoin, saying blockchain doesn't mean crypto and doesn't even mean decentralization.
Although it's totally different from their standpoint towards cryptocurrency, it is positive and there's no longer ban that shall be imposed even if they're going to produce their own CBDC.

whenever governments do that they also start restricting bitcoin usage since bitcoin is decentralized and people will never choose the govcoin over bitcoin. they may even end up banning it to force people into using their altcoin.
we have to wait and see how this turns out.
If we talk about totalitarian regimes, and the Vietnam one is not that far off yeah, I think that CDBC will be more of a threat to bitcoin than any other altcoin or shitcoin, but if it comes to normal countries, like the western world, probably not that big of a deal. After all, they are not gaining anything from banning
BTC at that point, they could easily track all money flows, they don't need that propaganda regimes and dictators need on how powerful their state is and how they can order everything around, no need to inspire fear when you can achieve things willinglyy
