I don't understand the recent push from stake for players to verify their details. Crypto betting is meant to be anonymous and I know the bonuses for regular players aren't being reduced but it feels odd to get a lesser bonus just because another player has completed his verification process.
I have a bad feeling about this. I don't really mind the KYC requirements for bonuses because its optional and completely upto the gambler whether he/she is willing to provide their details.
However, if they follow Roobet in the future by enforcing mandatory KYC to access the site itself, that would be a big blow to gamblers like me who are interested in anonymous gambling. I hope that I am wrong about this.
Well, Eddie (co-owner of Stake.com) says in his Weekend Stream sessions that they will not enforce mandatory verification on their users, but they will reward the people that does that voluntarily. They know that a large percentage of their gamblers are playing from countries that are banned and those people are adding to their profits, by increasing the wagering totals.
I will be very surprised if they change their stance on this, because a lot of those people just want to stay anonymous to protect themselves and they are playing from legal countries.
