As we all know, adult citizens of El Salvador will get the equivalent of 30 US dollars in bitcoins for free, bitcoin will soon become legal tender, and its purpose is to simplify the process of remittances for Salvadorans. Is it true that Bitcoin will be issued? Or just some candy paper bags?
The chances for El Salvador to distribute actual bitcoins are very high and it must be really easy for them to give it away in their wallets.
But at the same time we don't know if the wallet is a non-custodial wallet or not. What's the use if the wallet is under the control of the government.
It will be more like the Government owning the money and allowing you to use it and then keep a track of you.
