It is such a shame that this has happened because not only they invested in a coin that is not the worst that we have here in the market but it is really far away from being the best

That's just the problem in a (currently) unregulated market like cryptos ... Everybody can advertise for anything and doesn't have to fear any consequences. This would not be possible in the stock market, for example, or would result in severe penalties if advertising was done and the price then plummeted massively - as is the case with Doge.
I'm not even accusing Elon of malice, I just think he likes the fact that he can manipulate the market like this and does it primarily for fun.
This is the advantage and the disadvantage of unregulated markets, the fact that you do not have to report to anyone means that anyone that wants to create a coin can do it but this also reduces the quality of the projects we have in it, and if to this we add that powerful individuals like Musk can do whatever they want and not face any consequences then he is going to keep doing it, the only way to protect ourselves from this is to not listen to him, something that I think is happening already.
