In the past week, mining machines are undergoing a great migration, and 50% of Bitcoin miners are “offline”. When a considerable percentage of the computing power drops, will the speed of block mining slow down? Will the number of Bitcoin mining decrease?

Each block 6.25 BTC are being minted. Normally each block takes around 10 min - means ~ 900 BTC daily. Currently, with block time around ~20 min daily amount of BTC begin minted drops to 450. But it is temporary. Difficulty will drop, and we will go back to 10 minutes block ~ 900 BTC daily. After that miners will come back and for short term (before difficulty change) we will mine block faster than each 10 min - more than 900 BTC daily compensating for the current shortcomings. Finally, it should not affect BTC distribution model in medium/long term.
