It all depends on the alt coin.
I like to check if it has utility and uses. I like looking at BLOCK, ADA, VET, ALGO etc
Another coin like $BYG is very new but it has a function in Black Eye Galaxy as a decentralized NFT token. It could eventually make a lot of money and gains for someone.
