@Heuristic that's actually "Thai" weed (from Thailand). I thought it was "tie" for a long time because of "Thai sticks" we had. Little bundles of bud tied onto a little stick. This was years and years before any form of the internet, we just learned all the words audibly as we heard them. It wasn't until High Times magazine did I realize it, when I saw it in print.
