While there's no defined groups, really. If you participate in certain sections, you'll usually see the same users posting, and participating in discussions. For example, the Development & Technical Discussion is a rather concentrated group of users, compared to the rest of the forum, with only occasional new users contributing to that section.

If you are looking for private groups, sometimes users will make private chats, and invite you, but you generally have to be pretty established for that to happen.
