Emotional control of the soul is very difficult
This is what is in our minds sometimes we want to immediately want to get back or get more straight away. and immediately leave the basics that we actually know. like don't cross the limit. don't be greedy. these things are sometimes just thrown away because of that feeling. one must be able to think calmer and better before do any silly act. self-awareness is required.
Keeping our emotions on check all the time is the hardest part for me in gambling. That is why having predetermined gambling budgets is so important. Even if we can't control our gambling one night if we stick to our budget than we can't lose more than that. For me I use a monthly budget which I then break down for each week. So the maximum I could lose one day would be my weekly budget. This happened a few times and then I have to stop gambling for the rest of the week.
