It could grow over time and I'm sure sponsors would be willing to help out. I certainly wouldn't expect the forum to hit the ground running and give away a house on the first video although it would certainly be doable. Speaking from a Donator's perspective about using forum funds (not that my opinion matters at all), I would definitely rather see my 10 BTC donation go towards helping those in need as opposed to building new forum software that we don't need.
Yeah, I'm not trying to speak on the behalf of anyone here, including the donators I just can't see forum funds being used for something that
big[/b]. Although, like you reiterated it could potentially be toned down to a more realistic level.
A podcast is a cool idea too. I'd watch it if it regularly featured new members from the community and would probably be willing to be interviewed for it (not that I'd be asked), as I'm sure many others here would as well.
If anyone has the pulling power, I'd like to think that Bitcointalk would. Although, there's a lot of production involved with podcasts, and finding someone comfortable to speak, and interview someone would be difficult, and then sorting out the recording difficulties since you'd want decent audio from everyone involved. I don't think a Youtube production representing Bitcointalk is a one man team so to speak. Its probably best to have various people involved, including people that are on screen, and off screen. At least, to assure we get regular content out there.
Bitcointalk the Joe Rogan of cryptocurrencies?
