BCX cares because this is how
he makes money. He is not into muckraking but FUD spreading. Some of you may still remember that lots of people lost thousands of litecoins when he threatened to 51% Litecoin in 2012 and claimed he was behind the DDOS attacks of certain exchanges or pools. He labelled this "testing" of coins, supposedly doing the developer "a favor" (all BS of course). Nevertheless, FUD spread on the trollbox and while LTC was still young and inexpensive (maybe 3 cents) people weren't sure if they would lose their entire stash or feared it would become worthless. Everyone panicked and sold at market value, never getting the chance to buy back their coins for what they sold them for. I think the bottom was 0.003 BTC back then.
Consider yourself WARNED not to throw away your coins just the same. It's a scheme.
