There are lots of high-quality channels on Youtube, but from what I've seen they all follow a cookie-cutter approach, starting with an intro followed by a few seconds of annoying music, followed by "be sure to subscribe and smash that like button for more new videos, blah blah blah" and then 12 minutes of content following Youtube's strict monetization policies to the letter.  I've seen this format followed in dozens upon dozens of videos, if not hundreds.  I'd like it if bitcointalk's channel didn't do that, simply because I find it extremely annoying.
I guess they follow an approach which has been proven to work over, and over again. Youtube videos have definitely evolved over time though. For example, Youtube videos of today are much more higher quality production wise, than they were before. In fact, to start off on Youtube now, you are pretty much already expected to have a decent amount of experience video editing, and being used to public speaking or at least speaking to an audience. Back 10 years ago, you didn't need anything, but a way of recording yourself or your screen with a legible mic. Hence why Cyrus probably opted for a professional company to handle the recording side of things.
