The value of bitcoin has nothing to do with how long it will take for a new ATH. In the end, it all comes down to supply and demand. If demand continues to exist, we can have new ATHs every day (as long as supply decreases).

Bitcoin's value can impact volatility, though. I believe that bitcoin's price will eventually stabilize, and the market will become more like the gold market. Although, I am not sure whether or not I’ll live long enough to experience that.
