The existence of a Covid-19 vaccine, which is likely to be the pinnacle of hope in overcoming the problem of the pandemic, seems less enthusiastic about being welcomed by residents. Various issues in providing vaccines (vaccine effectiveness, vaccine side effects, halal, and paid or free) are likely to be interrelated in shaping public perception.
However, there seems to be something more basic, the majority of citizens only feel a little threatened from the pandemic, so they don't have an urgent need to be vaccinated, especially if they have to pay in the current weakening economic conditions.
