For me my reference was go to there Website and try to search their groups if they are truly Exist. And make sure that they started already their projects and if they really legit.
I thought that it's not accurate. Sometime there are lots of scammers were faking their identities by stole others identities. If they are real person and it doesn't mean they are legit. I remember that the project called payaccept. it has been running by the real person who used the real identity but all of the hunters were not getting paid as they are garbage scammers.
I should remind you that if you must not take it as the reason to make sure the funds are safe.
