From what I understand, Messi can not cut his salary more than 50% because of La Liga rule as well. La Liga does not accept difference in salary between two seasons is more than 50%. Is it real rule from La Liga?
I've never heard of it before, it seems like a stupid rule. I don't think that's the issue here, yes it's all about Barcelona'a debt problem and La Liga put a limit on their wage budget but I don't think they can dictate about cutting salaries no more than %50 rule, it's illogical.
I wonder what will they do about it when streaming income starts decreasing. The league lost two of the most important football players in three years. La Liga's reputation is not going well and they have to find new faces for the league. La Liga will not be the same without Ronaldo and Messi, we witnessed the hardest competition of a decade, we witnessed history. We can understand better now when these two are gone.
yes it's true that currently La Liga has a very stupid rule proposed by BBVA with tax rules imposed on clubs, and a lot of people will feel very disadvantaged by this especially for the Spanish league competition itself.they have lost their star and football icon the ball that makes the Spanish league no longer interesting for us to watch as in the previous few seasons.and we can be sure that the Spanish league will be abandoned by football fans
