When Bitcoin was born, human civilization began to accelerate evolution, from centralization to decentralization, from the governance of human nature to the governance of protocols, from corrupt governance to transparent governance. Bitcoin is ushering us to a fairer, freer, and opener society, and the value of each of our human beings will be treasured and liberated.
It seems like you are confusing two separate concepts; Bitcoin and the Blockchain. Bitcoin runs on the block chain technology, but so does so many other currencies and protocols.
Bitcoin as a currency cannot provide transparency in governance or stop corruption, it's just a decentralized currency which is immutable, borderless and irreversible. It allows one the freedom to separate their finances from the government but cannot directly change government affairs.
It cannot stop corruption but it can be more transparent in showing that there is corruption. If the Blockchain was implemented into other areas except for currencies then it could be used for tamper proofing and making corruption easily to spot. Right now most government owned sectors are not operating transparently and news only comes out about abuse when they want it too.

Thank you for your wonderful questions. What I want to express here is that Bitcoin not only represents itself, but more importantly, the ideas behind Bitcoin, decentralization, transparency, equality, freedom, openness, and so on. When more and more people accept this kind of thinking, it will guide us to transform this society and create a whole new human civilization step by step.
I agree with your reasons but it is not easy to convince people that these things are important and that has been the biggest problem of people adopting Bitcoin at the moment people see it as a gamble and not for what a good idea it is.
