This is another unprofessional response from Barcelona. If they can not keep Messi, they should respect him from all contributions he did for the club, and let him go. They should keep silent and support Messi for the new contract in PSG.

If it is true, it will be very shameful for Barcelona. It is like the attitude of a child who lost his toy. Barcelona shouldn't act like this, a very unprofessional attitude. I agree with you if Barcelona must support Messi's decision. He already gave everything to Barcelona, now it is time for him to move. Barcelona management has no right to refuse Messi's decision. If Barcelona management really attacks PSG, they will lose people's respect. And finally, many Barca fans will leave Barcelona suddenly, especially those who are fanatic Messi fans.
It is probably true and I read the news as well. Problem is Barca is looking childish and petty but they are absolutely right. They can't give new contract to Messi because financial fair play and PSG can? With Neymar, Mbappe, Donaruma, Ramos, Di Maria and Icardi in the team? Please, they are making fun of that rule and should be kicked from Europe because of that. Not gonna happen, but then it is better to dismiss with the rule or put on proper Salary Cap like USA and make sure everybody is compliant.
